I am Darrius Newton (they/them), an experienced educator and Special Education Lead Teacher with over ten years of helping students build confidence and succeed academically. I hold a Master of Education (M.Ed.) from Johns Hopkins University, a Leadership Certification from the University of South Florida, and specialized training in Orton-Gillingham and Kagan Cooperative Learning. I focus on supporting students with disabilities, including dyslexia, ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, and executive functioning challenges. My approach combines evidence-based strategies, personalized support, and strong relationship-building to help students feel capable, motivated, and successful. I believe every child can learn and thrive when given the right support. My goal is to help students improve their skills, build confidence, and develop a positive love for learning that lasts well beyond our tutoring sessions.
